For my colour personality case study, I analysed the branding of Notion, as it shares its key shades, black and white, with my brand. The predominant use of these most basic shades creates a professional appearance, which is of high importance, as the site can be used for making portfolios and corporate write ups, which must create an impression of competency, this also gives precedence to the fundamental area of the webpage, its type.
This basic colour scheme also adds to the simplicity of the logo mark, while the highest possible contrast creates boldness. This appeals to its target market, who may be seeking to create a bold portfolio to seethed apart from competition, which is reflected in the logo mark.
My brand will have a similar colour personality, also using the high contrast between black and white as a tool to create a bold, almost courageous atmosphere, pairing with the strong geometric logo, made up of solely simple shapes.
