The things that we use can express the personality of the creator and user, designs changing over time as people change and are affected by culture and media. New media and technology can alter perspectives, I find this interesting, as even we who create technology are also formed around it, the connections work both ways. I also found it interesting how tools elevate human capabilities, setting us above all physically superior animals.72 I also liked how the most successful interfaces use basic human functions, like an extension of the user, giving them easier control over the interface, without having to decipher how it works. A successful piece of technology is changing, those that do not adapt die off, as people change, they have no use or desire for tools that do not change with them.
