This user story I created with my group depicts a user who needs to get to work on time, but the bus is cancelled. Later a friend tells her about the autonomous taxi app and she uses it to get to work, arriving on time. This then prompted ideas of a possible rewards system for referring other users to the app.
My role in this task was creating the basic story of someone using the autonomous vehicle to get to work after a bus cancellation, as well as writing the captions and speech bubble text.
I also helped to create a site map with the class. This helped me to identify sections of the autonomous vehicle experience which I had not previously considered, for example an emergency button, which could have the option of speaking to a company support worker or emergency services if necessary. This task was extremely informative, and will assist in ensuring the product is as comprehensive as possible and provides all necessary services.
I also created lo-fi versions of my screens based on research so far.
This screen is the opening screen, the user may either choose to begin their journey to the destination chosen in the app by pressing the larger button, or to change their journey using the smaller button.
This screen will show the user the map of their journey, allowing them to change their journey by typing a new destination, tapping where they want to go on the map, or using a voice command. It also shows my idea of using a scrolling wheel for the nav. I am considering changing this to a standard static nav for ease of use, so that each item in the nav stays in the same position no matter which screen the user is viewing.
This screen will be used to display entertainment options. The side nav bar is inspired by entertainment apps like the iPad version of Apple Music, where sections are shown in a nav bar to the left of the screen.
This screen will be used for options such as climate and lighting options, but I will change the format of this, because a sliding bar would be extremely difficult to use precisely in a moving vehicle.
